Site plans for the proposed project are available for inspection at the Public Works Building, 920 New York Avenue, Hamilton, MT  from 8-12 and 1-5 Monday through Friday.

 
If you wish to make oral comments on the proposed project, you may attend the public hearing at City Hall.

 
Written comments can be mailed to the City of Hamilton Public Works Department Attn: ZBA Administrator at the address above or emailed to dpwsec@cityofhamilton.net.  Written comments must be received by the Public Works Department by 2:00 p.m. on Monday, December 16, 2019, or may be submitted directly at the public hearing.

St. Francis of Assisi Parish, applicant, representing the Roman Catholic Bishop of Helena, requests a new church be built replacing the existing church in a RS (Residential Single Family) zone district as required by section 17.24.040 (B) of the Hamilton Municipal Code.

St. Francis of Assisi Parish, applicant, representing the Roman Catholic Bishop of Helena, requests to allow the historical steeple to be built to a height of fifty four feet and eight inches (54’ 8”) which is nine feet eight inches (9’ 8”) above the allowed forty five (45) foot building height as set in section 17.24.060 (C) of the Hamilton Municipal Code.

St. Francis of Assisi Parish, applicant, representing the Roman Catholic Bishop of Helena, requests to allow for a rear yard setback of two (2’) feet to the rear property line rather than the twenty (20’) setback to the rear property line as required in section 17.24.050 (C) (2) of the Hamilton Municipal Code.

St. Francis of Assisi Parish, applicant, representing the Roman Catholic Bishop of Helena, requests to allow 133 parking spaces (65 off-street and 68 on-street) to count towards the total parking spaces required by section 17.100.070 of the Hamilton Municipal Code, provided improvements be made to the curb, sidewalk, gutter and street where the majority of that parking will occur.
