City of Hamilton, COVID – 19 City Parks Update

All City Parks remain open for most recreational uses.

Hamilton City Parks include: American Legion Park, Claudia Driscoll Park, Hamilton Dog Park, Kiwanis Park, Hieronymus Park, River Park and Steve Powell Park.

  • Playgrounds are closed at: American Legion, Claudia Driscoll, Kiwanis and River Parks
  • All park restrooms are closed.

Please continue to help flatten the COVID-19 curve.

  • Stay home if you are sick.
  • Social distance of 6ft or more when walking, hiking, jogging or biking
  • Wash hands with soap and water and/or use hand sanitizer
  • Don’t congregate in groups.
  • Don’t shake hands.
  • Cover your mouth when coughing/sneezing with a tissue or your elbow
  • Note:  As of April 4, 2020 The U.S. CDC (Centers for Disease Control) is recommending that everyone should wear a cloth face covering when out in public places to protect others in case they are unknowingly infected with the virus.

Please continue to be a good neighbor to fellow park users and park wildlife.  Keep your dog on a leash when recreating in the parks that allow dogs.  River, Hieronymus and Steve Powell Parks allow dogs. Only the Hamilton Dog Park allows you to have your dog off its leash.

Always remember to leash and cleanup after your dog.

It’s a great time to visit our City Parks, wildlife is abundant, particularly birds, the grass is greening and trees and bushes are just beginning to bud.
