Public Comment Period Open for City Court Judge Applicants

The City of Hamilton has solicited applications for the position of Hamilton City Court Judge to fill the seat to be vacated by the Honorable Ryan Archibald, who is resigning from his position once his successor is appointed and sworn in.

The City is now soliciting public comment on the applicants. Public comment will be accepted until 5:00 p.m. on Friday, September 10, 2021. Click on the Application  link to view the applications.  Public comment may be submitted in writing to the City Clerk at:

All public comment received becomes part of the applicant’s file which will be provided to the Mayor and City Council. The City Council will meet on September 21, 2021 at 7:00 p.m. in the Community Room at City Hall to review and interview the qualified applicants and receive additional public comment.

Applicants and members of the public are hereby notified that all meetings and proceedings of the City Council and documents shall be open to the public, with an opportunity for public comment, except when, by a majority vote of the City Council, it is declared that the demand of individual privacy clearly exceeds the merits of public disclosure. All documents received by the City Council shall be open to the public and may be viewed by interested parties on the City’s website or at the City Clerk’s office during normal business hours. Social Security numbers, home addresses, and home telephone numbers will be redacted from the application materials prior to making them available to the public.
